As a normal human being, we do worry about issues at times such as
financial issues, relationship issues, work and school issues but we worry on a
mild basis and do not spend a large amount of our time doing so. Unfortunately,
this is not the case for some others who are constantly worrying about
absolutely everything leading to what we know as
generalized anxiety disorder or
GAD for short.
Hypertension and constant elaborated state of fear and worry is
a common trait in someone who suffers from
generalized anxiety disorder even
though there is no incidence to have provoked these feelings in the first place.
A GAD sufferer will always be anticipating disaster, thinking about the worst
case scenario even though no impending danger is in sight. This kind of attacks
is rather tricky as it is rather hard to actually direct the exact cause to a
certain source and thus finding the cure.
Symptoms of
general anxiety disorder must run for a few days at a time and continuously
recurring for a period of at least 6 months before one can say for sure that one
is suffering from general anxiety disorder. It is only with this level of
observations that doctors can safely prescribed medications to help combat the
suffering.
The physical symptoms inherent to generalized anxiety disorder must also be
present within the same six month time period that your other generalized
anxiety disorder symptoms are present. These can be feelings of being keyed up,
restlessness, tiredness or fatigue and difficulty concentrating. Symptoms can
also include a tendency for your mind to go blank, irritability, tension, and
disturbed sleep patterns.
In
general, some of the warning signs of a sufferer having generalized anxiety
disorder are excessive amounts of worrying and fear occurring from upcoming
events that one may be participating in or anticipating to join. These symptoms
can last continuously anywhere from a few days to a few months and the worrying
sensations may be hard to control by the person who suffered from this general
anxiety disorder.
One
who is a sufferer of general anxiety disorder may also worry about the lack of
panic attacks, social phobia, separation anxiety, and obsessive compulsive
disorder and so on. He or she may even gain a large amount of weight as a result
of the suffering.
Multiple signs exist to tell if one is indeed
suffering from anxiety disorder. Therefore, one should take prudence and notice
for signs that one is indeed suffering from
general anxiety disorder and upon
recognizing this, seek medications immediately so that you can live a more
fulfilling and fruitful life free from anxiety and panic.
